Well, an impromptu trip up to the newly reopened Ice caves trail. The trail has been closed for 3 years due to a washed out bridge in the 2006 storms, which was finally replaced this spring and finished a couple weeks ago. Normally this type of hike is not in my normal cue for hiking adventures. Especially since it is a darn freeway of "hikers". Since I had never been there, and since it was an easy family outing I had a lot of fun with the family. Which is probably why this trail is so well used, it's super easy access, fairly flat, super short and is a wide graveled path all the way to the caves. The trail is 1.5 to 2 miles round trip. As always it varies depending on the source or the map...
