For all of you who don't have a lifetime pass or purchase a yearly pass for the national parks... This year they are again offering several weekends free of charge to enter National Parks that normally charge. Not all of the National Parks charge, but in Washington 2 of the 3 do and it adds up. If you've never experienced Mt Rainier, or Olympic National Park here are the days you should. Just a drive through or short hike up some of the high mountain trails of these parks is fairly rewarding, heck I remember the first trip to the Carbon Glacier that I took as a child. So break out those trail runners, or boots and drag your kids away from the video games for the evening and enjoy a trip to the outdoors!
Anyways, here's the info.
