Well this last weekend we headed out to Tahuya State Forest for some car camping and riding. Sadly I couldn't stay the whole weekend do to approaching finals and all the fun stuff attached to college. We arrived Friday evening; stringed up a camo tarp from harbor freight over the picnic table, and got camp setup. I headed off to the Kingston Ferry to pick up Heather. I called Barrett while I was headed north to see if they were almost to Tahuya and he had just got on the ferry before Heather. Barret was nice enough to save me the 45 minute to an hour drive to the ferry, by waiting an extra 15 minutes to pick up heather and drop her off at my campsite. Aaron was off to a burning start of creating a small bonfire in the effort to burn all the wood he brought in one night... I cooked 2 cans of Dinty Moore beef stew in the fire for dinner.
The tales of the following day could be filled in by Elizabeth and Aaron. supposedly Elizabeth accidentally rolled an ATV over a steep embankment off of the Mission Creek Trail...
After arriving home I ordered a new headlight switch for the ATV so that I can post the ATV for sale or trade in a week. I really want to start riding dirtbikes again, the ride is more comfortable, and there is a ton of trails that I haven't explored at Tahuya and the Manashtash area. Not to mention it just makes more sense than the ATV for my riding style in Washington. After the ATV is sold I'll be looking for a Honda CRF250x to replace it.

Breakfast came along and I got to test out my Coleman green camp stove that was a Christmas present. It worked great for cooking chili and hot dogs. Dave, Nancy and my Dad showed up for a morning ride. First we took a small loop that was a few miles long around camp, then off to the Howell Lake Trail. We made it a short way down the Trail and off down a root section that had been exposed from the torrential floods this area has encountered over the last 2 years. One of the group members got tired and we had to turn around shortly after this obstacle. On the way back I had to help my dad get the ATV he was riding up and over the root section. All I can say is I love my my ITP Holeshot HD tires! They grip everywhere. We got back to camp, dropped off the tired user and we headed back out onto the Howell Lake Loop. We made it a couple miles further and due to light restraints I decided to have the group turn around. We got back to camp started dinner loaded up my gear. After dinner Heather and I headed home.
